Conan is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health, teaching cross-cultural approaches to health and illness, and qualitative research methods.He also teaches modules on global health development and the sociology of the body.He has a degree in Social Anthropology from Cambridge University, and also studied at Liverpool University for a PGDip in Social Science Research Methods.He completed his PhD on cervical cytology screening programmes and action research at Liverpool John Moores University in 2000.He is a former Research Associate at the University of Zambia, and editor of the Journal of Contemporary Health.He is currently studying for an MA in Writing.
