Mike Leahy joined the Firm in 2001 and primarily practices in the field of civil litigation with particular emphasis on maritime and admiralty matters and personal injury defense.
Mr. Leahy served as a deck officer in the U.S. Merchant Marine for six years aboard container, break-bulk and tank vessels.He also served six years in the United States Naval Reserve from which he received an honorable discharge.Mr. Leahy holds an unlimited United States Coast Guard Third Mate's license.Following completion of law school, he worked with a Scandinavian P&I Club managing marine casualties including collisions and pollution matters.He is a member of the Florida Bar.
Mr. Leahy received a B.S. degree in Nautical Science from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York in 1988 and his J.D. degree from the University of Akron School of Law in 1997.
