    Brad Leach: Lead Pastor

Brad launched our church in September 2001 and continues to serve as Lead Pastor. He likes to say that he turned down an offer from the Detroit Pistons to become a pastor, but we're not sure. Brad loves the movie, "Remember the Titans," and has already committed to attend the first Super Bowl in which the Lions play, but fears that might be about the time people are telling him he's too old to be a pastor! Brad married Leah on January 19, 2009, and just became a dad to Gabriella Faith!

So I was reading the Word, getting ready to do devotions with my Bride, and I was inspired by some things that Pastor Brad at Church of the King (Berkley, MI) was teaching on a couple weeks ago. He was going through Exodus and talking about the journey of the Israelites, and how it relates to us. In Exodus 14, Pharoah was chasing the Israelites after he chose to let them go (God was putting a bit of pressure on him). The Israelites were terrified, having just been let go after hundreds of years of slavery. They were not prepared for battle and were no match for the disciplined and rigorously trained Egyptian army. So after they cried out to Moses, he says to them:
