In this program, Joe will demystify the process by providing tips on how to choose locations for successful landscape photography.Richly illustrated with Joe's images from close at home to western national parks, topics covered will include the use of the Internet, photographic books, magazines, guidebooks, topographic maps, and scouting.Rather than providing you with specific locations, emphasis will be placed on helping you to find your own photographic hot-spots.
Joe LeFevre is a landscape photographer from New York, where he is also a Professor of Chemistry at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego.He has won numerous awards for his photography, including the Best in Graphics Award in the 68th Regional Exhibition at the Arnot Art Museum in Elmira, NY, and Best of Show in the professional color photography division at the New York State Fair in 2003.Joe has exhibited at the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, NY, as part of the 2002 and 2006 Everson Biennials.His work has appeared in Outdoor Photographer magazine, and in numerous regional publications including Adirondack Life magazine and wall calendar, and New Photographer magazine, and in numerous regional publications including Adirondack Life magazine and wall calendar, and New York State Conservationist magazine.A popular speaker, Joe was a presenter at the Niagara Frontier Regional Camera Clubs (NFRCC) annual convention at Niagara Falls, NY in 2006, and the New England Camera Club Council (NECCC) annual convention at UMass Amherst in 2007.
