John LeFevre, president of Impression 5,s board, said he would like to talk with his neighbors about a collective move but was concerned about losing the Capitol Loop,s attendance-encouraging synergy.
LeFevre, a civil engineer, acknowledged that Impression 5 has already been looking at re-building, renovating or moving.Adding Impression 5,s lot to the other three parcels would make a valuable package, he noted. (An informal appraisal valued the museum-owned property at $800,000 to $1 million.) New construction could be managed as it was at the Lansing Center, also located in the Grand River floodplain, with parking at ground level and other amenities perched above.
,I would very much like to talk with them, about the moving prospect, LeFevre said.Impression 5, Riverwalk Theatre and the Museum of Surveying are joined in a condominium association.
The more REO Town,s Husby describes the depot concept, the more excited he grows. If all four museums made the move together, he said, they could create a new Lansing-area destination point.
