Dr. Allen LeBel

Dr. Allen LeBel: Dr. LeBel is a senior macroeconomist with 38 years experience in macroeconomic analysis, monitoring and evaluation, fiscal policy, transitional economies, institutional assessments and reorganization, policy studies, training and training assessments.He is IBTCI Team Leader for USAID Iraq MEPP II project.He has designed monitoring and evaluation systems to track progress for USAID's activities in Bangladesh, Botswana, Iraq, and Zambia.Most recently in Qatar, Dr. LeBel specified best practices for evolutionary development of indicators, analyses and studies related to population and social statistics.He has performed commodity market assessments across Asia and Africa.In Croatia, Dr. LeBel reviewed the country's post-independence macroeconomic performance.In Jordan, he performed an impact evaluation of private sector activities under USAID's Strategic Objective.Dr. LeBel is experienced in leading teams on development projects.On a USAID funded project in Niger, he served as Team Leader on a rural economic development strategy project.He was also Team Leader on an evaluation of USAID's efforts to improve the Philippines Stock Exchange.In addition to Iraq, Dr. LeBel has extensive transition and post-conflict economy experience including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Macedonia, South Africa, and Uzbekistan.He earned his doctorate in Economics from Syracuse University.
