Paul Lane, one of Macredie's neighbors, is not as complacent.

After listening to New Braunfels Independent School District Facilities Manager Daryl Stoker update trustees on the status of all 1999 bond projects, Lane took the administration to task for project delays, worker time mismanagement and safety issues at Carl Schurz and New Braunfels Middle School.

"Based on how these projects are going, people I know don't want to approve any other bond projects," he warned trustees.
