Patty Lane replaces Nancy Ault following her three and one half year tenure and both are expecting the transition to be a seamless one for both the staff and the Board of Directors.

Patty Lane has been a member of the CLC YMCA Board of Directors for two years, serving as treasurer.She is the Assistant Vice President/Bank Manager for Bath Savings Institution in Damariscotta and has been with the bank for 16 years.

Patty has served on several boards during the 25 years she has lived here, including Big Brothers/ Big Sisters and the Great Salt Bay school board.She holds several diplomas in bank operations from the American Banking Institute, including general banking, customer service and consumer credit and teaches occasional classes for the Center of Financial Training.

Patty brings a strong sense of community to her new role and feels that is one of her greatest assets.Among her goals for the next few years are building a board that will support fundraising consistent with the needs of central Lincoln County,

including developing an expansion plan, and evaluating new programs as well as updating some of the existing ones.

Both outgoing and incoming Presidents are hopeful about the future for the CLC YMCA.Patty is aware she has big shoes to fill.

Damariscotta Branch Manager Patricia J. Lane, while technically not a Damariscotta "native", comes pretty close, having lived here for 30 years.She has been on the Bath Savings staff for 18 years, and Manager of the Damariscotta branch for four years.

"Damariscotta is my town," Lane said, and "I am very proud that my company invests philanthropic resources here.

Longtime assistants Cheryl Steinmetz and Mary Kimmes donated their time this summer, and assistant director Pat Lane took a pay cut that rendered its remainder "symbolic," according to Miller.
