In January of 1995, Wilbur G. Landrey, foreign correspondent for the St. Petersburg Times, noted, "The newspaper Maariv reported that 50 percent of Israelis agree, and only 37 percent favored continuing - along with Rabin, whose own Cabinet is divided both on the process and the settlements" (13).
