We congratulate the people of Church of the Palms, Sarasota, Florida, because, although they are losing their Senior Pastor, Dr. Paul J. Kirbas, their Interim Pastor Nominating Committee moved amazingly rapidly and succeeded in convincing Jerry to accept their call as Interim Senior Pastor of their church.

As suggested on a stuffer in our August 20 bulletin and on our website, virtually the entire congregation, as well as the staff and ministers, dressed in bright, colorful Florida clothing for the services on August 27 to prepare Jerry and Carolyn for their new Florida lifestyle.

A very large percentage of the members of First Presbyterian Church waited in line for up to an hour to be sure they each personally greeted and thanked Jerry and Carolyn for their service to our congregation.

The 5th grade Sunday School interviewed Pastor Jerry Landrey on February 5, 2006, on the third annual "Interview a Pastor" Sunday.Jerry and his wife, Carolyn Landrey, returned to the class on March 12, 2006, and provided the students with a taste and history of India.
