   Dirk Landis is the Area Managing Partner for the Chicago practice of Tatum, LLC. Before starting Tatum's office in Chicago, Landis worked with companies as a corporate banker, leading organizations that were responsible for the delivery of corporate finance, capital markets, merger / acquisition / recapitalization financing, treasury management, investment management and human resource services.
   
   Prior to joining Tatum, Landis headed Mellon Bank's Corporate Banking Department in the United States and Europe, and he was a member of the Bank's Senior Management Committee. He was actively involved in numerous buyout, recapitalization, off-balance sheet and other structured credits. In addition to corporate financing, his principal effort was in furthering the Bank's success in providing Mellon's clients with state of the art treasury management, human resource, and investment services. He originally joined Mellon in Chicago, where he managed the bank's regional office.
   
   Prior to Mellon, Landis was a Managing Director at Chase Manhattan Bank, with overall responsibility for its Corporate Banking and Asset Based Lending units in Chicago. His focus at Chase was on building the Chicago units' delivery capability in corporate finance and capital markets products, as well as acquisition, recapitalization, tax-oriented, cross-border, and off-balance sheet financing.
   
   Prior to Chase Manhattan, Landis served fourteen years in numerous positions at Continental Illinois Bank. His most recent position there was in New York as the Northeastern States Group Head, with responsibility for Continental's offices in Boston, White Plains, and Philadelphia. In an earlier assignment he led the bank's strategic involvement with the U.S. metals industry.
   
   Landis is on the Board of the Chicago Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, and has served in the U.S. Navy. He received his MBA in Finance and his BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.
