Dr. Landfield received his medical degree from NYU, and served as an emergency room doctor for eight years upon his arrival in California.He was one of the first emergency medicine specialists in the state.Dr. Landfield then served as the local Larkspur general practitioner for five years, during which he learned about running a family practice and the intimacies of general care.In 1985, he took what he had learned from his years in emergency medicine and general practice and founded First Med.
