Astra Lam is a Senior Project Manager at Motorola Corporate Development, based in Hong Kong, and also an Investment Manager for MV- China.In these roles she is responsible for providing leading support for Motorola equity investment which includes due-diligence, negotiations and company set-up in Asia Pacific Region with great emphasis in China.Since 1997, she helped to set up 8 joint venture companies in China and to divest 3 businesses in China, Taiwan and Korea where each project had an average of US$15M investment capital.

Prior to joining Motorola Corporate Development, Astra has over 6 years of market research and strategic planning experience in Semiconductor at Motorola in both Asia Pacific and United States.She was responsible for providing strategic, high-level consulting to the General Management in the areas of country economy, political analysis, competitors/customers analysis in Asia Pacific and recommend best practices and processes for the semiconductor business units.

Astra received her MBA from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management/University of Science and Technology in Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.She is currently studying, part-time, for a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
