Jonathan David LakeFounder: World Think Tank

Jonathan Lake was diagnosed with Cancer and given little time.Rather than die in a hospital, he chose to fight the disease from his home.Early one morning, Mr. Lake was using his laptop to search the Internet in hopes of finding others he might relate to in his situation.Typing key words relating to "thinkers", he discovered hundreds of Think Tanks from all points in the world. An idea came upon him.If these thinkers around the globe could put their minds together, they could help anyone.Although experts and skeptics scorned this concept, Mr. Lake made it a reality by creating World Think Tank (WTT) and is alive today because of his determination.

Footnote: In 2002 the New York Times and The Wall Street Journal published Mr. Lake's findings.

Short Bio: Mr. Lake was raised in a modest, country setting by sustainable type parents who knew the value of earth and its resources yet reminded daily of ongoing pollution witnessed by the strange odors and ever changing colors of local streams and rivers affected by negligent industry.

Mr. Lake began his business career at age 12 and by age 17, earned enough on his own to buy his first house. At age 18, he was introduced to the world of franchising and helped create what is still today, a strong, ethical entity.

In between various business ventures, Mr. Lake was an avid experimenter. With help from his brother Edmund, they created electric cars, energy generators, recycling machines and many other air, land and water modes of transportation/communication while figuring ways for the population to have less of a negative impact on Mother Nature.

While in his early 20's, he learned a few engineering disciplines and applied these to his residential and commercial designs as well as to the many business enterprises from collector cars to computers while raising two daughters.Of particular interest in his early years, Mr. Lake introduced "Lake's Pure Water" to the United States East Coast beverage companies only to be ridiculed for the notion that people would actually buy bottled water. As a forward thinker, he did not allow this to deter but rather propel his beliefs of clean water, air and land.

By his 30's, Mr. Lake had achieved many successes including becoming a published writer and photographer, created a professional affiliation of over 10,000 engineers, became a webmaster and continues to counsel many through WTT.He is also a noted automotive historian, while racking up his share of "learning experiences".He never gave up despite many documented incidents of near-death accidents, two in which he was told he would never walk again.Mr. Lake is a fighter for his environmental and business ventures while encouraging others to believe in themselves by creating organizations and engaging fund-raisers for the less fortunate, ill and dying. In fact, Mr. Lake was one of the early pioneers of the ADA (American Disabilities Act) and would realize soon the ADA experience would soon become a personal issue.

Several years ago, Mr. Lake was diagnosed with Cancer and given a few months to live. The fight of yet another near-death experience was at hand. He had no idea what a profound understanding the Cancer fight would become and, when all was said and done, it had made him grow deeper into understanding how much the earth and life are connected. This has now led to the many local and global projects Mr. Lake has created to improve the health, happiness and sustainability of humanity.
