    Dr Adarsh M Kumar is a Research Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Miami, School of Medicine.She is the chief of the Neurotransmitter Lab, the Laboratory for Neuroendocrinology and Neurotransmitters Research.Currently, she is the recipient of NIH grant, and her research involves the study of central dopamine in relationship to cognitive functions in HIV-1 Infection.Other areas of her interests involving the role of neurotransmitter systems include that of catecholamines and serotonin in depression, Alzheimer's disease, HIV-1 Infection, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Conduct Disorder in children, as well in Alternative Therapies such as Music and Art Therapies.She has over 60 peer- reviewed publications in reputed Journals.
