Aaron Kruse -- presently Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church, Battlefield, Missouri, and President of the Springfield Youth Leaders Network.Aaron has served churches in Missouri as youth minister for nearly five years.He has a passion to support volunteer and part-time youth leaders in their ministry to reach students.

Aaron Kruse noticed the same thing at First Baptist Church of Battlefield."It caused the community to come together, get to know their neighbors," said Kruse, the church's youth pastor.

Following the tornado, the Red Cross set up an emergency shelter at Kruse's church, which remained a central location in the town's recovery effort.

Kruse said neighborly relationships formed during the aftermath have remained strong.

"People are watching out for other people and taking care of them," he said.
