Dr. Krueger is a partner in the firm and a member of its Executive Committee.He focuses on intellectual Property as it pertains to emerging technologies.Since 1990, he has been involved in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the U.S. and abroad with a technical emphasis in the areas of chemistry and biotechnology.Dr. Krueger is experienced in matters pertaining to intellectual property and business strategy, licensing, patentability, infringement and validity opinions, and confidentiality and collaborative research agreements.
Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Krueger spent 10 years as a research scientist in the Research and Development Department of Sandoz Corporation.He has considerable experience in technical areas related to agricultural chemicals and agricultural biotechnology, food chemistry and food biotechnology, organic chemistry including pharmaceuticals, and polymer chemistry.Dr. Krueger is currently working with a number of chemcial and biotechnology clients, including Cargill, Inc, Kraft Foods, Dow AgroSciences, Dow Chemical Co., and Eastman Chemical Co.
Dr. Krueger is an Adjunct Professor at DePaul University Law School in Chicago and teaches courses in Patent Law and Advanced Domestic and International Patent Practice.He also assists students in DePaul's Intellectual Property Legal Clinic.Dr. Krueger has authored or co-authored numerous scientific and legal publications including "Intellectual Property in Drug Discovery and Biotechnology", Burger's Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery, 5th Ed., Vol.1, Chapter No. 3.
