George F. Kocar

MOUNT VERNON -- Illustrations by George F. Kocar will be on display in Mount Vernon Nazarene University's art gallery Monday through Sept. 24.An opening reception will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 5.

Kocar teaches at Ashland University, Cuyahoga Community College, Akron University, Polaris Vocational School in Middleburg Heights and the Beck Center in Lakewood.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, August 4 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. George Kocar holds a B.A. in studio art from Cleveland State University and an M.F.A. in illustration from Syracuse University.He presently teaches art courses at Ashland University and Cuyahoga Community College and has illustrated for national and regional newspapers and magazines including Esquire, Playboy, The New York Times, The Plain Dealer, GQ and the Washington Post.He has been exhibiting his unique work for more than 20 years, his most recent exhibits being at the Fitton Art Center in Hamilton, Oh and the Sandusky Cultural Center.
