Koble also was instrumental in beginning Haven Ministry in Sunbury and, later, a transitional program in Sunbury.

A member of the Upper Susquehanna Synod's Committee for Church in Society, with a particular focus on the Commission for Women, she is also a member of the synod's Companion Synod Committee for Liberia.In January-February of this year, she served as part of a work team in Liberia, volunteering time for various tasks and ministries and visiting a leprosy rehabilitation center.She says she learned from that experience that the bottom line in life is that adversity is an opportunity for spiritual growth.

Having led workshops in anti-racism and poverty, Koble is currently a coach in advocacy for nine Aid Association for Lutherans branches.She also serves in leadership roles for Church Women United, both regionally and locally, and has been trained for Women Leading in Communities.In addition, she volunteers at Elijah's Bowl, a soup kitchen in Sunbury, and was instrumental in securing the involvement of her congregation, Zion Lutheran, also in Sunbury.
