   Mr. Koblanski is a physicist who obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta. He has more than 30 years of scientific research experience and has specialized in developing technology related to medical applications.
   
   From 1963 to 1966 he was a research associate at the School of Medicine, University of British Columbia. There, he participated in the design and development of several devices including one for measuring very low pressure in human bladders before and after operations and another for measuring cardiac output and blood volumes.
   
   From 1976 to 1986 he was a research scientist at the School of Medicine, University of Washington in Seattle. There, among other projects, he designed experimental procedures and equipment for research into the effects of ultrasound induced heat on tendons.
   
   Mr. Koblanski has carried out extensive research in the field of ultrasound since 1970. He has published several scientific papers relating to his field and has kept abreast of the latest research pertaining to applications of ultrasound technology and other sciences as they relate to medicine and medical technologies.
   
   Mr. Koblanski conceived and constructed the novel ultrasonic scanning technology that is the basis of the ultrasonic bone analyzer (UBA), and the tracheocardiogram (TrCG). He has also conceived the direct linear drive (Positioning Device) and a fourth device for application in surgery on the heart for both human and animal subjects.
