BJ Kobayashi, president and chief executive officer of the Kobayashi Group, LLC, has over 10 years of real estate development and investment experience that ranges from master planned communities to large commercial developments and luxury resort residential developments which, in several notable instances, have set the standard for subsequent development.
Born and raised in Hawaii, Kobayashi is a graduate of Hanahau'oli School, Punahou School, Georgetown University School of Business and Georgetown University Law Center.For the last several years he has led major fundraising efforts in support of those schools, as well as for the Bishop Museum and Ahahui Koa Anuenue.Kobayashi is also a co-founder of the Gift Foundation of Hawaii, a board member of the Kukio Community Fund and the Mayor's Cup on the Big Island, and a trustee of The Nature Conservancy of Hawaii.He is also a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association.
