George Knox, managing director of Marcat and owner of HMP (publisher of business magazine UP), will launch a sister title for his subscription-based Scottish Computer Headline (which sells around 13,000) in January.Also a 36-page tabloid format, sold fortnightly for £3, it will offer a mix of news and features aimed at small and medium-sized firms.

'I'm not sure a relaunched Business a.m. would have made any financial sense,' said Knox last Friday, 'but there's definitely a void there and we see it is as an opportunity to serve the Scottish business community.'
