One fire was set inside of the building lobby, another outside the lobby and the third around the corner of the building not far from the office of Charles Gibson, chief of the Contra Costa Community College District Police, said college spokeswoman Chrisanne Knox.

The photos are not sharp, but appear to show the man pouring liquid on the floor.

The district's police force patrols Diablo Valley College, Contra Costa College in San Pablo and Los Medanos College in Pittsburg.

The fire gutted the building, causing between $500,000 and $600,000 in damage, Knox said.The police department is temporarily being housed in a conference room in the business and foreign language department.

Diablo Valley spokeswoman Chrisanne Knox said Tuesday that once the investigation is complete they will send out corrected transcripts to any schools that received false grade information.

College spokeswoman Chrisanne Knox said earlier that the FBI had joined local police to help with the campus investigation.

After several sweeps, police found no evidence of a bomb on the 112-acre community college campus in Pleasant Hill, said college spokeswoman Chrisanne Knox.

Two bomb threats were phoned in to the Concord and Pleasant Hill police departments late Sunday and early Monday, stating that a bomb would be placed on campus within the next three days.

The bomb squad blew open the suspicious locker in a controlled blast Tuesday morning, but found it empty, according to college spokeswoman Chrisanne Knox.

The first bomb threat was called into the Concord Police Department at about 10 p.m. Sunday.The second threat was called into the Pleasant Hill Police Department at about 6:30 a.m. Monday.Knox described both threats as "non-specific," and said that neither one mentioned a specific time or a specific on-campus location.However, both mentioned DVC, she said.

On recommendations from the Department of Justice, the school had increased police presence on campus Monday, Knox said.

'We just feel like it's the most cautious thing to do based on that there's still a threat," Diablo Valley College spokeswoman Chrisanne Knox said."We know the campus is very secure right now, and we're confident of that, but we want to investigate further."

Police in Concord and Pleasant Hill received to "unspecified" bombs threats against the DVC campus at 10 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday.Knox said bomb threats at the campus are not unusual during mid-term exams, which are going on at DVC.

"The dogs did indicate there was something on campus we should be concerned about," said Knox, who would not confirm reports that the hits came from student lockers.
