Nancy Knight

Nancy Knight, Music Teacher, Grades K-4Nancy will return to teach music this year, she has been teaching at JCDS since 2001.Nancy has studied music since the age of eight.She sings and plays many instruments, including oboe, Irish whistles, recorders, saxophone, pipe and tabor, and guitar.Her musical experience covers classical music, early music, traditional folk and a recent foray into Yiddish music.Nancy has attended music teacher trainings at the New England Conservatory in Boston and the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music in New York.Nancy performs regularly with the Revels touring group, Circle of Song, as a featured soloist, performing in theatres, libraries, museums and schools.Nancy also teaches Early Childhood Music and Movement when she is not at JCDS.She looks forward to continuing to share the joy music brings her with the whole JCDS community.Nancy has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and a Master of Arts degree from University of Michigan.
