Morfudd Knight has an RSA Diploma in TEFL and has taught English and Welsh as a Foreign Language in the UK.

She is interested in developing students' ability to manage their own learning, and is responsible for Learning Resources (including the Independent Learning and Language Laboratory) in the General English Programme.

She has been secretary to the Learner Independence Special Interest Group of the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL).
