President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Anne Eiting Klamar said the company is on track to add another 40 workers this year, which would raise the company tally from 700 to 776.

"We had grown to the point that we needed more help, or we would start to redline or lose people," Klamar said.
Midmark opens positions up to current employees first, then begins recruiting from the Dayton and Cincinnati areas. When the company recruits outside of the area, Klamar said she faces difficulties in getting people to take a chance on Versailles, a township on the east border of Darke County, 44 miles northwest of downtown Dayton.
"We've found usually when somebody has grown up in the area, we're pretty successful," she said.

Klamar said the open houses proved successful, leaving Midmark with 105 job candidates.
As the additional positions get filled, Midmark will be able to continue its focus on innovation, developing new products and new customizing options for its customers and continue its growth, Klamar said.
"I feel really fortunate to be in what we consider to be a healthy market," she said.
