Kevin Kinross, 26, has served in the $40,000-a-year post since Jan. 1 District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr., son of Pennsylvania Supreme Court Chief Justice Stephen A. Zappala Sr., has been mentioned as a possible candidate for Pennsylvania attorney general.

Zappala said Kinross will be supervised by Dawn Botsford, former solicitor for the Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority, who is the district attorney's $74,712-per-year human resources manager and director of labor relations, Zappala said Botsford, who was let go in December 2000 with other top authority administrators in what was billed as a move to privatize management, wasn't connected in any way to the federal probe of the agency and charges against a contractor for overbilling on catch-basin cleaning.
