GREGORY S. KINO , Partner
Greg Kino , as president and cofounder of the Downtown Neighborhood Association and board member of the El Cid/Prospect Park/Southland Park Neighborhood Association , is extensively involved in the civic life of the City of West Palm Beach.He was appointed in 1994 by the mayor of West Palm Beach to serve as a member of the Historic Preservation Board , and has served as its chairman since 1996.He also is a board member and past president of the Palm Beach County Planning Congress , a group of more than 100 professionals who are actively involved in growth and development issues.Mr. Kino volunteers for various fundraising activities and civic projects , and volunteers at a local soup kitchen.As a result of his civic activities , he has been nominated by the mayor of West Palm Beach for the President's Volunteer Action Award , and has twice been a finalist in the Price Waterhouse/South Florida Business Journal Up and Comers awards.In addition to his local government clients , Mr. Kino represents numerous developers , and was responsible for obtaining governmental approvals for a 40-acre mixed use project , including a hotel and marina , and telecommunications facilities for the five major carriers at the Jupiter Stadium.Mr. Kino earned his law degree at Stetson University , where he graduated magna cum laude in the top four percent of his class.He was a member of the Stetson Law Review , and served as chief justice to the Honor Court.Mr. Kino is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and the Florida Bar.
