    H.T. Kinney begins his first season as offensive coordinator and embarks on his third season overall with the Colonels.Kinney comes to south Louisiana from Hofstra University on Long Island where he spent two seasons coaching the Pride's running backs.The 2003 campaign will mark Kinney's 16th season as a collegiate coach.

    Prior to making the move to Hofstra, Kinney spent seven seasons at Liberty University.At Liberty, the Illinois native worked with the Flames' defensive ends, tight ends, running backs and offensive linemen, spending three seasons (1997-99) coaching LU's offensive line.Before making the move to Virginia, Kinney spent two seasons at Wagner College in New York, tutoring the Seahawks' secondary and special teams.His experience also includes a two-year stint in Italy, working in both Bologna and Tolentino.His initial taste of coaching came in 1988 as he spent a season working as a part-time assistant coach at Monmouth College in Illinois.A graduate of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1988 with a degree in health and physical education, Kinney was a four-year starter at quarterback for the Pioneers.He went on to earn a master's degree in education from Wagner in 1993.

    Kinney is married to the former Christine Richard and resides in Thibodaux.
