A computer professional and long standing member of the British Computer Society, Ian is educated to honours degree standard in computer science.

He initially pursued a career in accountancy before moving into computer systems over 19 years ago.His career in computers has covered most disciplines, starting in software development and has included technical and operational support.

In November 2005, Ian passed the Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Direction.The Diploma covers all areas of the operations of a board including understanding finance, marketing and human resource strategies and how they interrelate with the corporate strategy.

Ian has a wealth of project and people-management experience and has operated at board level for more than 10 years.
