Andrea Lee King ~ Andrea is the 18-year-old daughter of Steve and Lynne King of Bradenton.

Andrea is a 2004 graduate of Lakewood Ranch High School and is currently attending the University of South Florida.She has blonde hair and brown eyes.She enjoys kickboxing, shopping and cheerleading.

While at Lakewood Ranch she was active in Student Government throughout her high school career, was Captain of the Junior Varsity Cheerleading Squad, was a 3 year member of the advisory board and was elected Class Secretary her senior year.In addition she was a Gold Member of the Academic Renaissance.She served her community as a member of Key Club and was a Legacy Leader for 2 years.

Currently she is studying elementary education at USF and is a member of the Alpha Delta Phi Sorority.Through Alpha Delta Phi she is an active volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House and Shriners Hospital.

Andrea is a member of the Church of the Palms and she plans to get her degree in business and education and to one day become a kindergarten teacher.

Approximately 45 minutes later, Heather Koch, captain for Lakewood Ranch High's varsity cheerleaders, will be joined by co-captain Lacey Shuttleworth, junior varsity captain Andrea King, and JV co-captain Katie Alliota, as well as Manatee High captain Emily Scherpf and co-captain Lindsey Peirce.

Senior captain Aline Bernard and junior captain Andrea King, along with sophomore Katie Finnigan, were the only three chosen to represent the Blue Jays at the meet.

In the shot put event, King registered a throw of 10.3 meters -- a respectable performance but still a disappointment for King.Earlier in the season, King broke her school record of 11.37 meters with a throw of 11.95 meters.

Not only are Bernard, King and Finnigan expected to place high, but freshman Megan Clarke and sophomore Hannah Bracken are both capable of not only jumping into the top ten in the conference but possibly making it to the top three or four.
