Anastasi meeting Aug. 18/03Reacting to the suggestion of discussions via a committee of five to seven people to be formed separate from the Carson Park Community Group, an audience member asked for a show of hands "if you feel Angela [Kimball] speaks on behalf of you here tonight."We captured the result in motion in the photo, right.Overall, it appeared to us as if most or nearly all raised their hands, followed by loud applause.An audience member, who acknowledged she was a minority in the room, dissented and said, "We're tired of the trash and the transients and everything," and said "those of you that don't live on Harco and Senasac don't know what those of us who do have put up with the last ten years.The trash, the transients.

Angela Kimball, director of the Carson Park Community Group, said her organization is using the Web site to help preserve the character of a neighborhood of predominantly single-family homes."The fact is, what the developer is proposing is absolutely inappropriate," she said.

Although Angela Kimball, director of the CPCG, which brought a busload of 40 residents to the meeting, spoke in support of the new agreement, with reservations.

"We still have issues they haven't dealt with yet,' Kimball said, and warned the builder not to become complacent just yet.

Kimball and many residents don't want the development to have the cookie-cutter appearance that's so prevalent in modern housing complexes and which, she says, is out of character with the rest of the neighborhood.

"We'd like to see more architectural details to break up the houses.From what we've seen, there's not enough variation in the plans,' Kimball said.

Vargo said the builder would continue to talk with residents and Kimball insists she'll hold them to that promise.

"I think it's questionable whether the county residents would support the annexation," said Angela Kimball, president of the Carson Park Community Group.
