   HOUSTON (April 10, 2006) , Albert B. Kimball, a partner at Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, has been elected president of the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association (HIPLA).
   
   Practicing intellectual property law for more than 30 years, Kimball represents multinational companies, both American and foreign, in acquiring, protecting and litigating rights in intellectual property and technology.He has been on the board of directors of HIPLA since 2001.
   
   Kimball's IP work has been touted by Chambers USA: Guide to America's Leading Lawyers for Business for the last three years, and he has also been named a Texas Super Lawyer in IP law.
   
   Among Kimball's other professional leadership roles, Kimball previously served as a member of council of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the American Bar Association.He has also served as president of the Houston Bar Association.
