Paul Kim
Paul Kim is the vice president of marketing for Mozilla, developers of the award-winning Firefox web browser.
He is the marketing genius behind Mozilla Corp's Firefox browser.
A savvy business guy with a rebel's intent, a true believer in the ultimate communal possibility that is the internet, he is best known as the guy responsible for the cutting edge viral marketing for Firefox.
Paul's marketing methods quickly made Firefox a favorite, one of the most beloved brands, the second most popular web browser in the world - with 20% worldwide market share (over 50% market share in parts of Europe and Asia) and over 200 million active users.
Paul sets the worldwide marketing strategy for Mozilla, empowering and leading a team of professional marketers working alongside an enthusiastic volunteer community.
He loves to share what he has learned.
Paul joined Mozilla in 2005, and helped launch Firefox 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0. Before Mozilla, he marketed Creative Suite, InDesign and PageMaker for Adobe Systems.
He first became involved with web development and Internet marketing in 1996, as an independent web producer for Bank of America, CMP Media, Ziff Davis and Organic.
Previously, he co-founded and served as chief marketing officer for Insurgency Pictures, a start-up television advertising company based in San Francisco, California.
He has also held staff positions at Spectrum HoloByte and the Milarepa Fund.
Paul received an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, and an AB in English from Stanford.
He lives in Oakland, California, with his wife and daughter.
