Patty Kim, a member of the Harrisburg City Council, said she is concerned about financing.

The economy has drastically changed since the financial commitments from the state and bond holders, she said Friday. "I question if these monies and grants are readily available right now," Kim said. "I would like to see all of the funding secured before construction begins.

"I understand that the Senators' contract requires the city to upgrade the stadium, but when I see the immediate needs of the city like the incinerator and public safety, it's difficult to see millions of dollars go to this project," she added.

Harrisburg City Council member, Patty Kim says she is all for economic development."I know the city needs new revenue to help pay debt, but looking at it right now, there are not even basic services right now.I mean people aren't even getting their trash picked up on time," says Kim.

She is one of at least three Harrisburg City Council members CBS 21 News spoke with Thursday who tell us our report is even more evidence of why they do not support the planned National Sports Hall of Fame.

"It is not guaranteed that this museum will do well, and the museums that are in the city are not doing well right now," adds Kim.

"This is more than a part-time job," Kim told CBS 21 News. Kim is the chair of council's Public Works committee. She said that gives her direct access to helping people.

"I'm constantly thinking about my residents in the city, 24/7," Kim said.
