Patrick S. Kim, ConsultantPatrick received an A.B. cum laude in Philosophy from Harvard University, and a J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as an editor on the Michigan Law Review.Since then, he has counseled many applicants seeking admission into top ten graduate schools, and also serves on the board of directors of Little Lights Urban Ministries, Inc., a non-denominational Christian mission dedicated to serving children and youth in inner-city Washington, D.C.He has also served as a law clerk for the federal trial court in Manhattan, an associate at Covington & Burling in D.C., and as a prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's office for the District of Columbia.

Due to its success in 1997, AEF has made the Mock Interview Program an annual event.The Mock Interview Program on September 11, 1999 drew a crowd of over 65 students and over 50 attorneys to the law firm of Wiley, Rein & Fielding.In the morning, students heard a distinguished panel of attorneys discuss the legal interviewing process.

In the afternoon, volunteer attorneys, mostly from APABA, gave half-hour interviews which students found extremely helpful.For the first time since its inception, the Mock Interview Program also included fifteen-minute resume workshops for students.Representatives from the legal recruiting firms of LegalSource and Pro Search gave students sound advice on how to improve their resumes.AEF has received valuable feedback from both the law student participants and the attorney volunteers, and will be using this information in order to continue to improve this program to better serve the law students.
