Ms. Kim received her B.A. in English from the University of Hawaii in 1996, and her J.D. cum laude from the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law in 2001.At the William S. Richardson School of Law, Ms. Kim and her moot court partner took first place two years in a row in the National Native American Moot Court Competition.Ms. Kim served as an editor for the Asian Pacific Law and Policy Journal, as a Moot Court Board member, and was elected Student Bar Association President.She received the Richard S. and Percy K. Mirikitani Memorial Scholarship, and the Alexandra Murdoch-Haig Scholarship for her work as a volunteer guardian ad-litem for children.Ms. Kim was a two-time recipient of the Edmunds Award for Civility and Vigorous Advocacy.She is a member of the Hawaii State, American, Federal, and National Asian Pacific American Bar Associations.

Ms. Kim just completed her second year of law school at the William S. Richardson School of Law , University of Hawaii.She is president of the law school's Student Bar Association , and represented the school's student body at regional and national American Bar Association/Law School Division summer meetings.Ms. Kim did her undergraduate work at the University of Hawaii-Manoa , where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature.Prior to attending law school , she worked as a budget analyst for the Hawaii State Legislature and as a financial data analyst for a local company.
