   Seoul, Korea, 12 May 2003 : Quantel is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Daan Kim as President of its Korean subsidiary company. Mr Kim's appointment reflects the continued importance of the Korean market, where Quantel has maintained a highly successful operation for over 15 years, and has a large installed base of systems, particularly in post production facilities. One of Mr Kim's early tasks will be to oversee the introduction of the generationQ range to Korean broadcasters.

He has worked for several multinationals - most recently as President of LG Information and Communications' GSM unit, building up a GSM business. He also spent five years in Brussels as Director of the LG Brussels office where he initiated and constructed a strategic alliance relationship between Philips and LG.
