Prior to joining Cooley Godward, Ms. Kim was an associate with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in New York, New York and Washington, D.C. from August 1997 through February 2000 and an associate with Hogan & Hartson LLP in Washington, D.C. from August 1995 through July 1997. [ Prior to law school, Ms. Kim worked as a radio news producer at the University of Missouri-Columbia's National Public Radio affiliate.She has also written for several newspapers, including The Miami Herald, the Detroit Free Press and The Kansas City Star. ].

Ms. Kim received her J.D., with honors, from Duke University in 1995, where she was the research editor for the Duke Law Journal.Ms. Kim graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in broadcast journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1990.

Ms. Kim is admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
