Abe Kim, a born and bred NJer, is currently on staff with Metro as the Pastor of First Steps Ministry. He currently overseas the Young Adult Ministry (YAM), and Newcomers and New Believers ministries. He recently graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. He also has a undergrad degree in Finance from Boston University and was actively involved with campus ministries like Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. Abe is also happily married to Ashley Kim(pictured below).

If you don't catch Ashley at church, you'll probably find her shopping for the coolest styles in fashion or hanging out with her new hubby, Abe Kim.

How accessible is the pastoral staff?

The pastoral staff (Peter Ahn, Stephen Sharkey, Abe Kim, and Koo Chung), outside of a few times during the year when they need to travel, will most likely be in the church office during the week - and will be glad to make appointments if you ever need to talk.

Not only that, but every Sunday after service, there is prayer time where at least one of the pastors are available, and there is also what we call "Newcomer's Quick Stop" where Abe Kim and Peter Ahn are both available, giving a quick introductory session on what Metro is all about!

He has a undergrad degree in Finance from Boston University and actively served with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. If he's not at church, you can find him watching/playing basketball, reading, or listening to sermons.
