ISLAMABAD : The government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan announced the appointment of Lieutenant General (Retd) Aga Jehangeer Ali Khan as ambassador of Pakistan to Mexico, says a press release issued here on Saturday.
It added that Lieutenant General (Retd) Aga Jehangeer Ali Khan born on 31st January 1944 and holds degrees of B.Sc (honors) in strategic studies from the University of Baluchistan and M.Sc (strategic studies) from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad.
He was commissioned in the Pak army in May 1966 and held various command and staff assignments including Corps Commander for over 3 years.Apart from serving as Director General (Plans) at the Joint Staff Headquarters and Instructor at the Command and Staff College, Quetta for 3 years, he also served as chief of staff of corps.
He was conferred Hilal-e-Imtiaz (military) and Service Medal of meritorious service in the Pakistan Army, the press note concluded.
