Since children are the imitators, they're going to observe and mimic their parent's behaviors and parents have to be mindful of that," said Karen Kersten, counselor for The Center For Families.

Kersten recommends families think about creating a vision for their family and set up goals and objectives for the children."Provide guidance and education for the children on how to attain those goals and objectives.Some parents may attend classes or go to the library for additional research.Parents should plan to teach children about responsibility and what it takes to have integrity and morals and include a set of principles for children," Kersten said.
