Joan is a partner in the Insurance Litigation Department.

She specialises in Defender liability insurance work and deals with cases on behalf of a number of major insurers.She deals with a range of insurance issues, including employers' liability, public liability and motor claims and deals with cases both in the Sheriff Court and in the Court of Session.She is experienced in dealing with injuries ranging from fairly minor whiplash type injuries to serious brain injury.

As well as conducting Court action Joan has experience in resolving matters by way of Mediation and on occasions becomes involved pre-litigation, organising rehabilitation.

In addition, Joan has experience of pursuing some serious personal injury claims, including medical negligence claims.
