Stefan is responsible for the development of CoMotion's information-centric visualization infrastructure.
Prior to joining MAYA Viz, Stefan worked on the SAGE project at Carnegie Mellon University, where he explored visualization and interaction techniques, as well as task-sensitive visualization design.

Stefan has a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Sofia University in Bulgaria.His Ph.D. thesis dealt with the problem of extracting facts from loosely formalized texts such as weather forecasts and encyclopedia entries.Experiments in visualizing facts extracted from such texts triggered his interest in information visualization and multimedia presentations, which he continues to pursue.
Stefan has published more than 30 papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings.
