    Comet's Operation's Support Controller, Chris Kent, hopes that more than 300 tonnes of used EPS packaging per year will be recycled.The main types of packaging involved are cardboard, polystyrene and assorted plastics, which will be transported to two distribution centres one in Harlow, Essex and the other in Burtonwood, Cheshire, where they will compacted.Waste management company, Centrol Waste will then collect the bales for recycling.

    Comet plan to extend its recycling service to customers in the future by inviting them to return old packaging to the stores after busy sales periods such as Chrstmas.
