  Having recently merged with a new operation, intellectual property (IP) law firm Ridout & Maybee faced "many new demands," explains senior partner Charles Kent."It increased the business and the profile of our firm in two cities, and it created professional and staffing demands that we were scrambling to meet."
  
  Under the guidance of CCCC, the firm for the first time involved all staff in a facilitated problem-identification and -solving session that yielded "very positive results," according to Kent, "such as teaching us a good method of identifying problems we should be addressing and involving not just upper-tier management but the whole firm in the process."
  
  CCCC brought to the project "unique skills and experience that enables them to look at a company independently and objectively and bring significant improvements in the operations of the company," Kent relates.
  
  Ultimately, Kent says, those improvements "will have a positive impact on the bottom line.We've already saved downtime by identifying and solving problems better.From that standpoint, we probably wouldn't have done as well as we have done since."
  
  Kent also believes that, thanks to the Caswell Management System, he's grown as a business leader , for the betterment of the firm.
