    Allan Kennedy is an award winning Flash developer and author / lecturer whose work has been featured in Applied Arts Annual Design and Advertising edition, Strategy Magazine, Communication Arts, and Computer Arts Magazine.Past awards for web based projects include: "Best of Show"- media innovation awards, "Gold Medal" Canadian Marketing Association Interactive, "Best of Show" and the "Experimental" categories at the Digital Marketing Awards, to name a few.

    He has worked on traditional CD-ROM and kiosk based projects but prefers to focus on online content for companies such as Nike, Molson, TV Ontario, Empire Theatres, Aliant, Family Channel, Noggin, and Teletoon.

    Allan has also written music for online interactive works, games, and film.Allan's first career was in classical music as a 'cellist.Allan performed in Carnegie Hall and toured most of Europe and North America as a chamber musician and soloist.It was through his Doctoral studies at McGill University that Allan started bringing together his life-long interests in music and computers.

    Allan Kennedy, co-author of "Macromedia Flash Super Samurai," is an award-winning interactive art director and Adobe flash developer whose work has been featured in the Communication Arts Annual, Applied Arts, and Computer Arts Magazine. Past awards for Web based projects include: "Best of Show"- Media Innovation Awards, 2007 Cannes Cyber Lions - shortlist, "Gold Medal"- Canadian Marketing Association Interactive, "Best of Show & Experimental" categories in the Digital Marketing Awards, two Macromedia Site of the Day awards, and an Applied Arts Interactive Website winner for 2006 and featured in their magazine, to name a few.

    Allan's first career was as a classical musician, a 'cellist. Allan toured most of North America and Europe as a chamber musician and soloist, including concerts in Spain, Sweden, Nairobi (Kenya, Africa), Morocco, Boston, Toronto, San Francisco, and Carnegie Hall in New York city. He also was a first place award winner and finalist in several national and international music competitions. It was through his Doctoral studies at McGill University that Allan first became interested in merging live performance with computers.

    Allan has developed websites, games, and online applications for such companies as Nike, Family Channel, TVO Kids, Teletoon, WCB, Aliant, Empire Theatres, and Noggin. He has given numerous lectures, presentations, and training seminars on digital media throughout Canada and the U.S. for institutions and companies such as University of New York, Memorial University, Deloitte and Touche, ICE, Government of Canada, and Ninedots. Allan is currently the Principal and founder of Spark Media Inc. in Nova Scotia, Canada.

    The Overview: Spark Media's Allan Kennedy has developed numerous flash based online games over the years. These games include Camp Runamuck , which is a three level game for online and CD-ROM distribution (Allan also composed the game loop music for this and edited sound fx). Mount runamuck, in which Allan composed the music and edited/created sound fx as part of the Zincroe Design team and Trevor Van Meter, Illustrator.
