Michelle Kelly-Louw is an associate professor in the Department of Mercantile Law at the University of South Africa.She lectures the law of negotiable instruments, insolvency law and banking law and has published various legal articles in these fields. Recently she has been appointed to the panel of legal experts for the National Treasury as well as to the legal panel of the South African National Roads Agency Limited Property Portfolio.She has also been appointed as a part time Presiding Officer for the Department of Labour (Compensation Fund).She is a member of the Association of Insolvency Practitioners of South Africa and an advisory member of the Journal for Estate Planning Law.
