(Late) Dr. P K Kelkar

Prof. Purshottam Kashinath Kelkar, or Dr. PK Kelkar, was the founding Director of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, when it was established by an Act of Parliament in 1959.He later moved to Mumbai to become the Director of IIT Bombay for a brief while.

After eight months, the team met in Mumbai along with the Planning Officer of the Institute, Dr. P. K. Kelkar, to pool the knowledge gained.
