   Shahdad "Shake" Kelishadi Publisher
   
   Shahdad Kelishadi was born in Tarzana, CA in 1983. His family had escaped the gruesome Iran-Iraq where eventually they were forced to reside in the United States. Shahdad is an Aryan descendant of Iran as he is a Bakhtiyari and takes great pride in his tribe's ancestry as they descend from Koroush Shahanshah (Cyrus the Great).
   
   In 2001, Shahdad enrolled at the University of CA at Riverside where he had many special encounters such as becoming a member of the Native American Student Association as well as a good friend of Chief Earl Sisto, an Apache Native. UCR was one of the greatest moments in Shahdad's life as he began to slowly mature into the person he was destined to be.
   
   In 2005, Shahdad through personal vices, decided to take a break from life. He left UCR in January of 2005 and went to Italy where he resided in Siena for six and a half months. His sojourn in Italy was a time of true peace as the land brought great comfort to Shahdad. Above all, it became the homeland he had always been seeking since for the first time, he witnessed a society that shared his exact cultural upbringing and values.
   
   After his Italian adventure, Shahdad returned in June 2005 where he graduated from UCR with a BA in Political Science. For months, he was contemplating what he wanted to do with his life. One day, after personal experiences, the idea of creating a Middle Eastern magazine entered his thoughts. Shahdad has always wanted to impact society in a positive manner. The magazine was an avenue of expression that Shahdad felt he would be able to use wisely to reach out to people and their needs as well as by being able to educate people through his personal knowledge and experiences that he had accumulated over the years.
   
   In early January, Shahdad could only think of one person to help him with the magazine. He approached one of his best friends, Varuzhan Shahidzadeh and the two soon embarked on a never ending journey to make COEXISTENCE MAGAZINE succeed at a national level. The magazine would become revolutionary since no one has ever targeted the Middle Eastern ever nor had anyone bridged the gap by making a national product geared towards Middle Easterners within the American mainstream market.
   
   Currently, Shahdad is occupied as he helps with the family business, tries to retain his university knowledge by studying, and spends most of time working on COEXISTENCE. MAGAZINE.
